What will the future of food look like — and which scientific breakthroughs will take us there?

On 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering, Carasso FoodTech Innovation Center and FoodForward will host 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟰𝟬.

This special conference will explore the breakthroughs that have shaped the field of 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵, the innovations driving it today, and the challenges and opportunities that will define the food systems of the coming decades.

The event will be held as part of 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, a Technion initiative led by the 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, the The Technion Innovation and Industry Relations Office, with the Ministry of Economy and Industry-משרד הכלכלה והתעשייה aimed at building a broad FoodTech ecosystem that connects 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆, 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, and the wider community.

As part of the conference, we will also honor 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝘇𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗶, one of the founding figures of the Faculty and a pioneer whose work helped lay the foundations for academic and scientific innovation in food technology — foundations that continue to shape the field today.
